For Carpe Diem’s 7th anniversary month we are celebrating small things in nature, and today we are inspired by Issa to write haiku about flies:
don’t be mean
to that horsefly
skylight!
let him pass
like a mosquito, a fly…
solitary priest
thin legs–
while cooling myself appraised
by a horsefly
