Up before the birds,
slave to emphatic vatic,
I’m tired but thankful,
inspired by the symphonic
dawn chorus now the sky’s full.

Sherry says that this past Monday was Thanksgiving in Canada. She also reminds me that many of us are in the time of life when we age gratefully, and ‘with extreme climate events happening so suddenly and randomly all over the planet, one learns to be grateful for every ordinary day’.
So this week at What’s going on? we are pondering gratitude and the many reasons we have to be grateful every day.
Thanks for sharing this idea . I am in Canada later in Thanksgiving. Anita

That dawn chorus lifts our spirits every morning, no matter the vatic (I learned a new word! Thanks.) I rise weary every morning, at my age, given the daily news. But such moments help us to keep on keeping on. Smiles.
