Nature’s Eye

My response to Sue Vincent’s Thursday Photo Prompt – Look Out – #writephoto

Natures Eye

Looking out from the darkness…

Nature’s eyelid is cracked and made of stone,

Fixed on a landscape of green, rust, and grey;

She observes the landscape coming undone,

Its tree-crowned hills tumbling between fields and sky.

Bent trees breast the north wind on hill’s rugged spine;

Streams bubble with oxygen, fast, cold and clear;

The diurnal course of sun and moon measures time,

While colour and sound mark the seasons here.
