My response to Jane Dougherty’s poetry challenge #13: Bridges
Dense morning mist hides
Statues flanking either side
Wraps the castle in a shroud
Conceals its glory from the crowd
Leaving the medieval town
Across the Gothic bridge of stone
A spectre steeped in mystery
Walks in the footsteps of history

Beautiful. I visited Prague this summer with my daughter and crossed Charles Bridge several times. Nice to visit again through your poetry and image.
