My response to imaginary garden with real toads – The Way of Tea
Steam is released from the meeting
Of hot water and cold porcelain:
Tea leaves and petals infusing
Fragrance of sweet jasmine,
Served from the heart.

This is the perfect capture of the process of tea making – I could smell the fragrance in your final lines.

The idea of serving tea from the heart is a very Japanese one. That is the most important consideration above everything else. Nicely simple and clean piece very suited to the art of Japanese tea ceremony.

There is much more in the preparation of tea when it is done with love.
