My response to Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Friday Music Prompt #50: Send in the Clowns
I don’t like clowns,
They make me scared;
The ones with red noses and untameable hair,
Send them away.
I don’t feel safe.
I don’t approve.
Rowdy, disruptive and always on the move,
Boisterous clowns.
I don’t like clowns.
I prefer the melancholy and beauty
Of dancers
And charmers,
Romantic pierrots with pale faces and tears:
I’ve nothing to fear.

“Wonderful response. Shadowing the song is very clever. Are you really afraid of clowns? Thanks so much for participating,” she :)’d.

Thank you for your kind comment and for reading. Yes, I am afraid of clowns, ventriloquist dummies and dolls, especially porcelain ones!
