It was the idea of him
Formed in the clouds of romance:
His arms, strong enough
To row her boat,
Keep her afloat
On a symphony of shiny ripples.
She would be his diamond
Amongst the scattered jewels
In this glassy, watery place.
And then the clouds broke,
She fell out of the sky,
Tears sparkling on her face.
