Midnight Horror Story

Midnight sculpts
moonlight shadows of horror
to drink your dreams
and suck your screams,
sealing your lips
with monstrous kisses.

Too terrified
to open your eyes,
you’re paralysed.

Your thrash metal heart
beats out of time
with the night creatures’ call,
a chilling signal
for the living dead to rise.

Cloaked in the foulest funk,
they dance a crazy cakewalk,
All along the sidewalk,
Up the front path to your door,
where a nightmare raven caws,
‘Nevermore’.

  1. Whistles!!❤️❤️ This is deliciously dark and enticing, Kim 😀 I just love how each stanza gives me chills and goosebumps. Especially love “Your thrash metal heart beats out of time with the night creatures’ call, a chilling signal for the living dead to rise.” Beautifully executed. Thank you so much for participating at Music Prompt at MLMM ❤️❤️

    Lots of love,
    Sanaa
