In our forest of a garden,
Beneath the corkscrew willow,
Reclines a sleeping gnome;
We’re happy that he lies there
And the garden is his home.
He gives me inspiration
Among the wildlife and flowers:
I can see him from the window
As I write in daylight hours.
When everyone is sleeping
And I am wide awake,
You may often find me creeping
Down the stairs
And out the back door
To dance under the willow,
To sing under the willow,
With the gnome under the willow
And dream sweetly on my pillow.

My response to Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Tale Weaver/Fairy Tale Prompt No 91 October 27th – The Wood Nymph
Today we are creating tales in which we engage in one way or another with a forest creature, for example a wood nymph or even a gnome.
oh this is lovely, Kim 🙂

I like that you go for a dance with your gnome under the willow! Willows and gnomes go wondrously well together!

We actually have two gnomes – one is asleep under the copper beech!
