Dragon Empress

borne on wings of fire
black smoke curls about her feet
dragon magic flows
through her razor-sharp talons
and serrated scissor teeth

My response to Carpe Diem #1100 Dragon Empress by BrunuhVille

In the 1100th regular episode of Carpe Diem, Chèvrefeuille has chosen to share music by the Portuguese composer BrunuhVille, entitled ‘Dragon Empress’. He explained that BrunuhVille creates a world of magic and fantasy with the fusion of emotional, orchestral, Celtic, folk, movie, ethnic and world music, and shared a haiku inspired by the piece:

high in the mountains
hidden mysteries
dragon’s nest
