My response to Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Saturday Mix
We are melding flash fiction prose with poetics and the shadorma, and can take on any or all of the challenges.
This Saturday, I’m having a go at the brevette poetic form, which was created by Emily Romano.
The brevette is a three word poem, consisting of a subject (noun), verb, and object (noun), in this exact order. The verb shows an ongoing action – so the letters in the verb should be spaced out.
Each of the three words may have any number of syllables, but it is desirable that the poem has balance in the choice of these words. Unlike haiku, there are no other rules to follow.
