late icicles drip
sun-spangled rivers gurgle
winter’s departing

My response to Carpe Diem #1189 thaw (yukidoke)
Today Chèvrefeuille has presented us with a less known kigo, ‘thaw’ (yukidoke)”. He reminds us that ‘thaw’ has two meanings: a period of warmer weather that thaws ice and snow; and an increase in friendliness or cordiality. He has shared a classical haiku as an example:
icicles melting
frozen water fluid again
ah! the sound of water

Chapeau Kim a nicely crafted haiku in response on our prompt Thaw
