May Tan Renga Weekend Meditation: Morning Breeze

morning breeze
coming in the window
surf sounds                                                                          Jane Reichhold

secrets of the ocean
enfolded in a sea shell                                                      Kim M. Russell, 2017

without lights
the brightness of a blue sky
full of stars                                                                          Jane Reichhold

constellations pulsating
rhythms of the universe                                                  Kim M. Russell, 2017

balanced at dawn
a full moon slides into the sea
without ripples                                                                   Jane Reichhold

deep-diving with sea creatures
rhythms of the universe                                                  Kim M. Russell, 2017

stars bend down
into the wind of whitecaps
morning light                                                                     Jane Reichhold

dissipating salty dreams
in the depths of the ocean                                              Kim M. Russell, 2017

May Tan Renga Morning Breeze

My response to Carpe Diem Universal Jane #16 Morning Breeze

For this CDHK ‘weekend-meditation’ we have a new episode of our special feature, Universal Jane, in honour and remembrance of Jane Reichhold, who died almost a year ago.

Chévrefeuille has selected four haiku crafted by Jane and published online in her Dictionary of Haiku. All the haiku are from the Spring part of this dictionary and from the ‘celestial’ section. We can choose one, more or all four of Jane’s haiku as ‘hokku’ for tan renga.
