Spellbound

Spell-
bound
by northern lights,
I sigh like a whale
stranded in the middle
of a solar storm, muddled
by Earth’s magnetic field.
Separated for so long

from the human
pod, I                         (circum)
navigate                   (relation)
ships,
until I flounder
in shallow water,
listening
for
my
next breath.
