traffic pulses
around a city park
in its heart
autumn is swept into piles
a colourful wheelbarrow

My response to Carpe Diem #1255 City Park
Today’s inspiration is a photo taken by Chèvrefeuille of a park not far from his home. I thought I’d try a little experimentation using a photograph of my own, which was taken in a park in Wroclaw last autumn.
I love this, especially the wheelbarrow metaphor.

Awesome … this tanka shows me the same feeling as the park around the corner.

Thanks Kristjaan. Parks are important in cities. Out here in the middle of Norfolk we have so much nature that many people take it for granted. I was brought up in London and much of my life was spent in cities.

I need the park too, but we have awesome nature around our city too.

The metaphor autumn being swept into piles in the parks heart really caught me, makes the park seem like a living pulsing thing. Really beautiful 😊
