Seahorses

Deafening silence;
the germ of a noisy thought
bubbles at its heart,
ready to burst stars
into gushing streams,
rivers and mighty oceans
that teem with life.
Seahorses,
short-snouted and spiny,
tide-tangled in the briny,
are eager to shed the waves
and give the land a try.

  1. Fabulous response Kim, I remember as a kid on holidays we could wander through the seaweed in the shallows of the lake where we stayed and find tiny seahorses, such beautifully delicate creatures.
