hidden in willow
a cat with celandine eyes
fresh scent of new buds

lunar courtesan
tangled in a birch branch
tattered kimono

rambling cherry tree
her branches yield sparse blossom
humble offering

My response to Carpe Diem’s Winter Retreat 2018 Peace Within
For Carpe Diem’s Winter Retreat 2018, Chèvrefeuille has challenged us to create a haiku or tanka inspired on the theme of ‘Peace Within’ every day during a period of 30 days, until February 15th. I’m going to be off-line for a few days, so here are three haiku in advance.
Fantabulous series! 😎🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀

Thank you, Viv! I got back yesterday evening and am trying to catch up. I’ve managed to read emails, caught up on Facebook and Twitter. Now I’ve got the comments and prompts to catch up on. I’ll see you on the poetry route sometime today!
