Truth
is not
ceramic
moulded and fired
only to be smashed in hard light of day.

My response to Imaginary Garden with Real Toads Fussy Little Forms: Tetractys
Marian wants us to try a simple and elegant form this weekend that may allow us to focus on balance: it is the tetractys: a five-line poem, invented by Ray Stebbings, with 20 total syllables, in a lovely and balanced arrangement, like this: 1–2–3–4—10.
She explains that the first four lines together have ten syllables and the last line has ten syllables but, if we like longer poems, we can extend the tetractys:
1–2–3–4–10–10–4–3–2–1 (double)
1–2–3–4–10–10–4–3–2–1–1–2–3–4–10 (triple)
…and so on.
I decided to keep it simple.
Indeed! 💜 Truth can never be denied .. it’s as strong as the determination that courses through our veins. Beautiful job on the form, Kim! 💜

Thank you, Marian. I’m afraid there isn’t another one – I clicked on Mr Linky before I realised that it had retained the text from a previous link-up.

I agree. And I love the simplicity of the image. It works so well for this form.

Got it…missed the negativa there. And of course…you speak the truth.

oooh .. what an idea …. truth as ceramic ….
then the closing ….. hmmm ~ hard day of light – oops, brain reversed that. (actually ….)
anyhow, point is – this is well done to the form, and you’ve added another “dimension” to it. I think you’ve taken it and made it more Japanese in flavour – which imo, makes it all the richer. great job Kim! This is zen like indeed.
