between fall and swirl
of russet and golden leaves
a sudden cloudburst

My response to Carpe Diem #1546 Abstract Autumn
Today our challenge is to think outside the box and create Japanese poetry from a visual prompt of abstract art: an autumn painting in which we cannot see recognisable visual objects but, through the colours, know immediately that the painting has to do with autumn.
Yes i can understand fully the rain intrusion.

I was completely pulled in by the orange, so it’s great that you brought the rain into this.

I like the sudden intrusion of the cloudburst. Your haiku really captures that fleeting, changing feeling of autumn.
