My response to Carpe Diem #1600 Tan Renga Challenge Month 2019 (4) cold wintry wind

In the 1600th regular episode of Carpe Diem’s Haiku Kai, we have a classical haiku by Natsume Soseki. Our challenge is to add a second stanza of two lines to create a tan renga.
