wind in the seaweed
echoing in empty shells
hermit crabs scuttle

My response to Carpe Diem #1643 beach combing (shiohigari)
‘Beachcombing’ is a classical kigo for spring, which can be found in the Shiki Saijiki. I love Chèvrefeuille’s definition of beachcombing as a kind of treasure hunt along the beach at low tide. He has also given us the Japanese description of beachcombing (shiohigari).
Nice image.
