another year is gone
a traveller’s shade on my head,
straw sandals at my feet Matsuo Basho
old places are left behind
unknown landscapes lie ahead Kim M. Russell, 16th May 2019

My response to Carpe Diem #1665 Tan Renga Challenge Month May 2019 (12) ‘special’ Basho: Miscanthus bud
Today we have a ‘special’ episode of the May Tan Renga Challenge, with haiku by Matsuo Basho for us to work with: we may choose one haiku to work with or we can use them all.
I love the image you found…fits perfectly with your tan renga.
