words in water

water has no punctuation
its words just flow around
rocks and pebbles
or wear them down to silt
roll from ripples
and pop from bubbles
whirl in eddies
and sparkle in foam
crackle from crystals
that form in winter
sub-zero dirges that melt
into spring
filling every ditch and gutter
with gurgles and splashes
and the plump plopping
of dew and rain

drip-

ping

drop-

ping.

My response to Imaginary Garden with Real Toads Wordy Weekend Mini-Challenge: Messages in Water

Sherry reminds us that the world is full of wonder and amazement, and shares a video clip of Dr Masaru Emoto, as well as some of his images of ice crystals responding to words.

She says that right now we are being bombarded by negative, angry energy and discord, and wonders what would happen if several billion of us projected light, positivity, kindness and appreciation into the world.

Our challenge is to write about water in any way we wish OR write about good or bad energy and its effects.

Beautifully expressed on how water behaves in varied situations. Water certainly will find its own levels and solves its problems without promptings.

  2. Nice and peaceful water you write about. I liked the dipper handle at the bottom. I like to guess a little before I read. Doing that, I literally found a, at, ate, and wa (a cry?). Not really great for poem material.
