wandering thoughts
footprints across time and space
melting with clouds

My response to Carpe Diem Celebrates Its 8th Anniversary, October 2020: #1836 Daydreaming
Carpe Diem’s 8th anniversary’ month has reached its halfway point and today our prompt is ‘daydreaming’, which is a modern kigo (seasonword) for summer. Chèvrefeuille says, in summer, we spend most of the time outdoors in summer, being lazy, daydreaming and watching clouds. He has given us two examples from Jane Reichhold’s saijiki:
as if alive
the surf rolls a log
on the beach
a trail
to the sea horizon
her vision

I like the universal quality of this and the oneness with nature.
