This poem’s written in the present time, place and tense, proof of my presence on earth, and the message I meant, when you read it in the future and wonder if it makes sense. I’m making it clear so there will be no dissent. Kim M. Russell, 12th June 2023

We’re dancing the Quadrille at the dVerse Poets Pub, with Lill and her prompt word: present, in all of its meanings and forms. Our poems must have 44 words and include the prompt word.
lovely poem. I find it SOOO hard to live in the present without trying to root it in context of where I am going.

Good one! Yesterday’s present, now the past; today’s present was its future. And round and round we go as the clock’s hands always move forward!

I love it, Kim. Yes, poetry written now and read in the future.
I almost used tense in my poem, as well.

I see we both got into tense.
Happy Monday.

I think tense came up in a lot of poems, but I still have lots to read as it is now morning here, so happy Tuesday, Gillena, with love.

It’s like staking a piece of ground, and by your simple presence, it allows you to claim it as your own. It’s an interesting way of stomping ones foot. 🙂

Kim, you’ve written a challenge that I will not accept. Except to say it isn’t present today, it’s tomorrow. I came too late for the today.
Thanks, Kim, for peeking in on me yesterday, I’m glad you came, I consider you as my mentor, encourager for sure. Glad too you went out last night, we like the Irish pubs, about nine they break out with Irish singing.
