After the Rain The rain has finished Anointing leaves with a sheen Of turbulent green

Precipitation The garden is being watered By rain Droplets Condensed From atmospheric vapour Gathering in a sombre sky Falling heavily Under gravity Depositing Fresh water Soaking the Earth Small birds Shelter in the willow tree Rain drops Bounce off leaves The watering can And gutters overflow The thirsty Earth drinks its fill
