A resurrected love poem

Sun and Moon

The fickle moon smiles on the water

At the constant sun

Still lingering on the horizon

Silver moon and golden sun

So opposite

Yet complementing each other

In their corners of the universe

Between them they tease the waves

Push and pull

Ebb and flow of tide

Lending character to the seasons

So regular

Yet destructive in their ways

Each in its own moment of time

And time is all we have

After all

In which to live

To make a mark on the landscape

Silver moon and golden sun

So opposite

Yet complementing each other

In our corner of the universe

  1. I like how you included certain parts of the first verse in the last verse while reflecting on the human condition. Very effective. Love the image of the sun kissing the moon.
