Midsummer Madness

My response to Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Wordle #115 “June 27th, 2016”

Wordle 115

The familiar traveller

Occupied a corner

In the shadow of the ancient stones

And watched the midsummer madness:

The casting of bones,

Tiresome debauchery

And the drinking

Of sediments of cheap wine.

Smashing the defaced phallus,

The rakefire took his leave

And set off on his journey

To join the Bacchus League,

Where gods and devils indulge

In some heartrending perfidy.
