My response to the secret keeper Weekly Writing Prompt #43
The young woman passed
Through many kissing gates
But only once was kissed.
The man so generous with his embrace
Sang a song that was full of bliss;
Her heart stood still when he held her face
And her lips soaked up his kiss.
Lost in the moment, trapped by fate,
No words between them passed,
With a squeak of the hinge, he opened the gate
And she was free at last.
