Smooth groove

Of water on stone

Reflection of sky

In aqueous tones

An unblinking eye

In a socket of rock

With a pebbled iris

And a skull of chalk

A giant’s view

Framed by heather

Bathed by dew

And worn by weather

    1. Thank you, Sue. Of what and where is that a picture? It looks like a primitive well or rain collecting bowl. It has to be on the moors – I could see heather!
