Gathering my vital energy,
I walked between tall trees
on the path of healing
to practise the synergy
of posture, focus, breathe,
all the time concealing
a feeling of unease.
With each footprint that I made
upon that stony path,
I wondered at the salty fate
of young girls, statues
looking back
like Lot’s wife
at another life
before the benevolent antidote.

My response to Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Tale Weaver #96 – 1st December – A Place of Healing

The image is of Yangtorp in Sweden, the home of Qigong, a powerful Chinese system of healing.

Michael has challenged us to imagine visiting such a centre and recount our experiences:  Why did we go? Was it successful? Did we find it rewarding or did something go wrong? We could focus on the image and maybe the statues weren’t always what they seemed.

  1. This is fabulous Kim, I so liked the “all the time concealing
a feeling of unease.” and “at another life
    before the benevolent antidote.”
To me these lines give the impression of the vast dimensions you have weaved into your tale that we are now wanting to know so much more.
Excellent contribution Kim, thanks for participating.
