Bluster

Spring arrives
in starts and stops,
a dripping tap
melting winter,
forming puddles,
filling rivers.
In the monochrome
of dawn and dusk,
silhouettes drip and drop,
ink drawings
sliding off umbrellas
as a sudden blustery
wind turns treetops
into a roaring sea.
