My response to Carpe Diem Only the First Line #25 the sound of rain
Chèvrefeuille has re-introduced the special feature, ‘Only the First Line’, in which he gives us ‘only the first line’ of a haiku or tanka to work with. Today the first line is: ‘the sound of rain’.

The original image was of a window steamed up with nostalgia but then I realised that it could equally be with memories of something a little hotter – so I left it as it was!
