In quickening light,
quietude disperses
with quisling ghosts of night.
Outside the window,
quitch grass quivers
under quicksilver dew.
A curious quirky bird
sitting in the willow
questions every word
of every line I write,
a quaint critic of whom I am quite
fond.

My response to Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Saturday Mix
Lorraine is hosting this week’s mix of flash fiction, poetry, and shadorma.
I have chosen ‘Mind your Ps & Qs’ and decided to stick with the letter Q by writing a Quadrille (a 44 word poem) in quatrains.
Perfect — quadrille in quatrains loaded with q-words. Glad you enjoy your “quirky” critic.
Thanks so for participating this week.
