intoxicating
among cascades of petals
a blushing spring bride

My response to Carpe Diem #1195 (Theme Week 1) Andromeda flowers (or Ashibi/Asebi no hana)
In the first episode of our April Theme Week, Chèvrefeuille has reminded us that this month is all about classical kigo (season words). He says that the theme week will not be that different; the only difference is that the classical kigo for spring are all plants and the first are ‘Andromeda flowers’, often used in bridal bouquets. Andromeda flowers (Pieris Japonica) symbolise virginity, purity and fertility. He has shared one of his own tanka:
sweet perfume
arouses my senses
Andromeda flowers
a waterfall of flowers and color
making love this spring night

Your haiku conveys the paper beauty of these flowers nicely!
