I’ve been to London. Last Wednesday, my husband David and I attended the launch party of the Emma Press Anthology of Aunts at the Star of Kings, Kings Cross. The anthology, which is available to buy on Amazon, has been beautifully designed, edited and published by Rachel Piercey and Emma Wright. It was a pleasure to meet some of the other poets and to listen to their poems. David recorded my reading of ‘Holiday in Clacton’ (from the anthology) and ‘The Widowed Aunts’ (not in the anthology). The next day was spent at the London Dungeon, on a boat on the Thames and at The King’s Head in Islington for some fringe theatre. We were in Guildford on Friday and Saturday, visiting Ellen and Steve (daughter and son-in-law), who took us to Guildford castle, then for a walk along a river, and to the March Hare for some fantastic food. It’s such a shame that time flies.
