summer silence sifts
in an iridescent sky
settling in sunset
Kim M. Russell, 2017

My response to Carpe Diem #1228 sunset (CD Imagination)
In the final episode of a month in which we have explored several kigo for summer, classical and non-classical, our last prompt is ‘sunset’.
Very pretty! I imagine the silence sifting down little by little like the darkness.

It is hard to conceptualize a time of greater peace and introspection than sunset… without tourists nearby.

We had tourists wandering around the village this weekend but it rained a lot and they stayed in the pub!

I am such a sucker for sunsets…your photo is stunning and I could see it as a comforting silence watching this performance in the sky. Wow! I saw my sunset yesterday as silent as well perhaps because I was stuck indoors 🙂

We do get the most beautiful sunsets in our wide Norfolk skies, Cheryl – I hope yours are as beautiful, even from indoors!
