PO –
is the in –
breath, the in –
flow of in –
spiration, an opening
to be filled to overflowing.
A pause
allows
words to form,
lines to come
together, to be one,
a symphony of expression
in the outbreath,
the humming of the mantra –

My response to dVerse Poets Pub Quadrille: Poem One for Me
I’m late in responding to Victoria’s prompt as I’ve been off-line for five days.
Victoria said that however we may view ourselves, beginners, seasoned, published, hopeless, we have poetic DNA running in our veins. Others may think we are a bit weird or eccentric, but we can’t help writing poems. Which is why our word for this Monday’s Quadrille was ‘poem’ or any word that relates to it.
Om Shanti Kim, a beautiful meditative quadrille and I Iove how you have linked it to the breath☺💖 xxx

Wow. I didn’t know where this was going but I am usually dull on these things. But there were so many clues and I loved them all…and they are absolutely right. They lead to the end and the purpose of it all. Brava, Kim. “An opening to be filled overflowing” Exactly.

Nice placement of the poem between inhaling and exhaling the two syllables.

I really love how you hailed to the breathing of a poem… that in itself is what poetry should be: life.

So clever, Kim–sandwiching the body of the poem between PO–EM. This is such a breathtaking description of the poetic process with that metaphoric Ohm. Love it.
