morning air
shivered with contrasts
of skylark
and raven
raindrop songs rattled windows
in long-ago rooms

My response to Imaginary Garden with Real Toads NaPoWriMo Micro Poetry ~ Long-Ago Rooms

Kerry says that the object of this challenge is to write poems of between one and twelve lines, in a form of our choice. Our point of departure is the phrase ‘long-ago rooms’, a line from the poem ‘When You Come’ by Maya Angelou.
