Capricious May

May is capricious,
the garden is luscious,
bathed in soft sun,
daisy and dandelion-
Sky turns bruised plum,
sweetly congeals cloud jam,
a chiff-chaff’s  half-hearted call
warning of imminent rainfall.
Warning of imminent rainfall,
a chiff-chaff’s half-hearted call
sweetly congeals cloud jam.
Sky turns bruised plum,
daisy and dandelion
bathed in soft sun,
the garden is luscious,
May is capricious.

My response to Imaginary Garden with Real Toads Weekend Mini Challenge Fussy Little Forms: Palindrome also linked to Poets United Poetry Pantry

Marian is our host this weekend. She says that we all know that a palindrome is a word or phrase that is the same when read forward or backward. Like WOW or CIVIC or LOL or HANNAH.  She explains that a palindrome poem can read forward and backward word by word or line by line. She has shared some examples to inspire us to write out own palindrome poems.

    bathed in soft sun,
    the garden is luscious,
    May is capricious.

When the season is unpredictable given all the blessings one is considered lucky to be allowed to participate

  2. If art is a mirror held up to nature, palindrome is clearest glass. What difference saying the same thing two ways and saying it twice? In this reflected drop we all go a-Maying.
