melting with the heat
oblivious to gender
their sun-kissed bodies
Kim M. Russell, 9th July 2019

My response to Carpe Diem #1698 Hot Summer Night … Imagination, also linked to Imaginary Garden with Real Toads Tuesday Platform
In a new episode, in which Carpe Diem’s Haiku Kai celebrates summer and all that belongs to the time of year, we have an Imagination episode: a photo for our inspiration. The photo we have been given is quite topical as we’ve just had Pride Month.
It’s what’s in the heart that matters.

The right kiss can make anyone forget their name as well as the whole damn world, so that they are just present in the moment and delicious pleasure presenting itself on their lips.

I could have written more about that photo, Rommy. There’s a backstory just waiting to be exp!ored.

Thanks Colleen! I haven’t been able to read any of the other poems yet, but I’ll be back to read and comment later.

Love sees no gender is very true. Pride Month was a happy month for my long time best friend. I think she wore rainbow themed clothing every day.

I love the way you presented the quote ‘Love has no boundaries’. Personally I’m a great believer in guy’s love and LGBT rights. Great poem! Short in lines, but vast in emotions!
