dusk and leaves fall
with the weight of a crow
a branch bends

My response to Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation #94 Crow (Photo-shopping haiku)
Having only just returned from a visit to my daughter and grandson, I’m late responding to this weekend’s meditation. The challenge this weekend was an episode of Carpe Diem’s Photo-Shopping Haiku, using a haiku by Matsuo Basho:
kare eda ni karasu no tomarikeri aki no kure
on a bare branch
a crow has stopped
autumn dusk
Basho (Tr. Stephen Wolfe)
lovely!

yes Kim, it’s me – a very old name, from a much older account — I was “accidentally” logged in, and thought I had cleared my history – LOL – trying to see if I’d have less trouble with WP + my connection issues 😉
