New Year Promises

My response to Carpe Diem #1792 New Beginnings: New Year’s Day

I am so pleased to see Carpe Diem back with a new prompt for the new year. Happy New Year, Chèvrefeuille, poets and visitors!

The theme for this month is New Beginnings and we are starting with New Year’s Day. The examples we have been given are by classical haiku masters, who seem to have written a lot of haiku about New Year’s Day.

  1. I love the start of a new year and see the first green shoots of snowdrops reaching for the sun. They are the most wonderful messengers of spring to come. Thank you for sharing Kim. I am glad to that I can create CDHK again after such a tough December month.
