I savour the moment
fleeting and seldom
of a full-bellied moon
hovering over trees
a seasonal pause
reflected in the eyes
of a startled fox

‘full bellied moon,’
sounds so good spoken, a moment’s meditation for the mouth.

I love the “startled fox.” I too had a fox, and a wolf and a coyote. And me.
My story is halfway true. Cheers,
