Musings of a Poetic Cat – a poem on Visual Verse

I am delighted that Visual Verse chose to include my poem on page 18 of the latest issue, Volume 10 Chapter 8. The image by Erica Marsland Huynh appealed to me because it is of cats. As ever, all the pieces, prose and poetry, are fantastic. I recommend reading them all – or you can go directly to my poem ‘Musings of a Poetic Cat‘. And yes, once again, I spotted a typo, this time in the eleventh line!

I’m sharing this at the dVerse Poets Pub Open Link Night Live.

  1. Truly sumptuous writing Kim, lots of rich viscerally relevant lovely stuff here… Especially enjoyed – “curled like a comma” “rumble of my purr’ ‘Gentle head butt” and “I hunt in dreams of perfection” Regards Scott

  2. ‘curled like a comma in your lap’
    That’s exactly right!

Did you know that if you click on the title of your poem on VV it gives you your own page with the image? I’m probably telling you something you already know…

  3. “While on your lap, I hunt in dreams
    for perfection in feline poetry.”

That sums up lots of truth when the furry warmth is all with you. Wonderful take Kim!
