There is no art to happiness
it just is
a big surprise
a giggle from deep in your soul.
Don’t worry.
You don’t choose to be happy
it just happens sooner or later
a happy accident.
When you stumble on happiness
embrace it
give it a big sloppy kiss
choose it over everything else.
Happiness will not pass you by
it will linger a while
like a butterfly
before it lands on a flower.
And then one day, you’ll visit
the museum of utmost happiness
remember the tickle on your finger
and your smile will linger.

It’s Tuesday and, at the dVerse Poets Pub, we are celebrating happiness in Poetics with Punam, making it a happy Tuesday.
I enjoyed the examples of poems about happiness by Jane Kenyon and Lucian B. Watkins, and the book titles Punam has given us to incorporate in our poems.
Oh, I so much love how you made happiness an accident… just capture it when you get it…

Me and Alice love giggling too! I love the feeling is indeed not a singular and light-bolt of feeling – it does feel like a happy accident. There when you weren’t looking perhaps and when it was exactly what you need! – Jae

Choose or don’t choose?
The giggle actually brought a smile to my face. I’m going to try and incorporate that word into something somewhere soon.
