Impending Storm Above the bell tower Rain clouds glower A demonic layer A collision of air Charged with electricity A heavenly complicity In an October sky Backdrop to solitude And reverent quietude A crowd of mottled stones Marking ancient bones An open door to welcome Anyone who comes Seeking sanctuary from the storm
