Ballooning All the Words

Dawn shimmered and rose,
bubbling balloons. Green shadows
breathed whispers, giggled ghostly leaves,
skipping, dancing on a spring breeze,
melting cloud, curling a grin,
sparkling cues to let them in.
Arm twisted by their journey’s scars,
I open windows ajar
to a spilling lullaby.

    1. Thank you, De! That was my one and only go at using all the words until after the summer. I will be very busy in April, May and June – firstly, I’m taking part in The Poetry School’s NaPoWriMo (have I got that right?!); then I’m monitoring GCSE Spoken Language entries for about three weeks from 8th April; and finally we have the GCSE exam marking. I need the money.
