My daily response to Carpe Diem Summer Retreat 2018 Finding the Way
At Carpe Diem, it’s time again for the traditional seasonal retreat: a period of 30 days in which the goal is to write a daily haiku or tanka about a theme. In this year’s Summer Retreat the theme is ‘Finding the Way’.
What a wonderful capture Kim, I love how patiently she sits there :o) xxx

Thank you, Xenia! She had previously stalked the mother and baby deer a short way round the garden and when the mother approached and touched noses with her she scooted back to the door! Cats and deer seem to live peacefully together and respect each other’s presence in the garden. It’s wonderful to watch.

I too had a cat who became really close, familiar, exchanging nose kisses with the resident deer here – (and there are tons of them) – it was so funny to watch how the cat would just sit and wait – but the deer can’t be skittish or nervous, otherwise it doesn’t work out so well.
Love the image and poem Kim 🙂
