She Wears it Well

It’s a magical hue,
indigo,
teetering between twilight
and midnight,
blue and violet,
the tint of an iris
that blooms in the garden
or the depth of an eye.
Soft as velvet,
it’s the colour of the moon’s
favourite gown.
She wears it well.

It’s Monday and, at the dVerse Poets Pub, Lillian has us writing 44-word quadrilles incorporating the word ‘indigo’.

I took the 6th to 8th lines from a poem I wrote for one of Sarah’s prompts back in 2021:  https://writinginnorthnorfolk.com/2021/05/11/indigo/

    1. Hi Christine. WordPress will not let me comment on your quadrille, so I’m commenting here.
As someone who has an indigo soul, I enjoyed all the blues in your quadrille, Christine, from the ‘blue of the sky to the deep azure sea’.
